It wasn’t nearly enough to get to the next Core Level, as he still needed 161 additional Life Force, but it was a start. As soon as he moved up another Level, he was hoping to create his next Valentine room; how long that would take, he wasn’t sure, but he hoped it wasn’t too long.

As it turned out, he only had to wait another few days.

The excitement of the groups entering his dungeon was visible as most of them progressed through his Christmas section without difficulty to explore the new rooms Elmer had constructed. Every once in a while, a group of much lower-Leveled, brand-new Adventurers would attempt his dungeon, keeping to the first few rooms; but the majority of those he saw were around Level 5 to 9, at least according to what he overheard. When they got to the School Room, half of the groups used the strategy of their most vulnerable members running around as the Heartbreakers slowly waddled after them, with the intent to leave the Minions alive while they accomplished their task.

This strategy actually did work, though the Minions didn’t stop or even remain in the room. Instead, the Heartbreakers would follow after them as the Adventurers ventured into the Party Room, which meant that the tunnel was then clogged with a basically impassable Minion when they eventually left. It also didn’t give them the “monster Life Force” they apparently acquired when they killed one of his Minions, which he assumed worked the same way his own did to increase their Level.

The other half of the groups were a bit smarter, as they took the Heartbreakers down similar to the Warrior from the first group, allowing the Minions to explode. Having identified that the desks didn’t take damage from the explosions, they used whatever physical or magical shielding they could produce and hid behind the school furniture, which helped to block most of the shrapnel and chalky candy from hitting them. Horrendous wounds and even a few deaths occurred when the group members weren’t hidden well enough, but it was a valid strategy, nonetheless.

What he thought would’ve been an even smarter strategy over all of the others was to simply run out of the room once the Heartbreakers were set to explode. That didn’t work out so well for them, though, as one group found out the hard way.
